Fitbit Freeze Dance #MyFitbitLife

One of my favorite ways to get steps is playing a game with my two littlest ones, Eden and Thomas. We play our “Jesus” music, which is Seeds Family Worship CDs, on my iPhone and walk around the kitchn/den/hallway area in circles. Dancing til our hearts are content, we STOP every time the person in charge of my phone stops the music. Sometimes Eden lets it go forever while listening to the song, and Thomas likes to press the pause button about every ten seconds. Variety is definitely the name of the game in our home.

Usually, I can get at least 2,000 steps from a good game of Freeze Dance before the children lose complete interest and decide they only want to play on my phone. Moving your arms and turning around while walking allows for some intensive step procurement.

During the school year, we will play this to the music we use for our timeline song, which is a song containing a chronological history of the world. What used to be named Timeline Freeze Dance will henceforth be referred to as Fitbit Freeze Dance in our home. Three crazy monkeys walking, dancing and running around the house – one for steps – and the other two – only for fun.

We love our Fitbit life. It’s becoming a family affair.

I spent the day shopping with a friend for supplies for our homeschool community, and I racked up a good amount of steps. However, I still found myself at only 6500 by 6:45pm. Knowing I was having dinner with a friend and her son at the hospital, I knew it…

Dear Fitbit World, Please tell me I'm not the only one doing this! I found myself finishing my 10,000 steps tonight at literally ten til midnight. I am NOT exaggerating. When I first started using my Fitbit, there seemed to be no problem getting my steps in each day. Now,…

I posted about this awesome gift I received - a Fitbit. Clearly, I love it because my husband physically worked for it, but I really wanted it too. So, I see how it becomes an obsession to hit the 10,000 steps goal. Granted, it is part of our agreement that I would…
