What to do at NRH2O

This is our first year for season passes to NRH2O, and it has been well worth the price.

Now that we have been visiting for a while, let me share with you what we love to do when spending the day at NRH2O.

Our six year-old daughter LOVES the Endless River (lazy river), and will kindly allow you to go with her round and round and round when she is wearing her puddle jumper float device.

Slide Variety

Slide Variety

No, NRH2O does not have the slide variety you will find at Hurricane Harbor.  With many options though, children and young teens will be plenty occupied for the short summer months.

Several rides are tube rides with two or more people riding together. Anything you can do with friends and family is even better in my book! There are also a few that are single rider slides without a tube. The teens seem to favorite the black and blue tubes, but I like the white one.

The Green Extreme

The Green Extreme

This slide right here is unique compared to what I’ve seen. Not only does it go uphill multiple times, but you are riding it in a tube with another person. I have to say that this was a favorite!

Floating in the wave pool or jumping waves, you’ll find yourself relaxed and having a great time here, especially with your kids.

My ten year-old loves this slide.

Race you to the bottom!

Race you to the bottom!

Four people can race at once. Warning to keep in mind with children: Smaller people go faster, but larger people go farther. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

The Viper

The Viper

Another favorite is the Viper. See the bell shaped area? You slide up quite high on the side. Depending on size and weight, sometimes three people can go together on this ride.

Swimming in the pool on the other side of this volleyball court, we often practice the kids techniques here. It’s a walk-in entry with decorative rocks across the back.

Here are several photos from the children’s areas. Our five year-old and two year-old love these areas!

The Splashatory

NRH2O Kid’s area

The Splashatory is great for toddlers all the way up to teens. The yellow slide on the left is a favorite of our youngest two children.

You’ll find plenty of fun to be had at NRH2O, but don’t forget that the fun is multiplied many times over when you go with friends!
